UPDATE regarding Basement system: our Passivhaus certified system has an external cavity drain partly to protect the external tanking system; an internal cavity drain is not required under most circumstances. However, some structural warranty providers might argue for Type C Grade 3 BS 8102 in which event, if that is the preferred provider, we add to the design a full internal cavity drain system.
